National Thoroughbred Week takes place between the 20th - 24th of November and is both Australia and New Zealand wide. Based on the popular UK national Racehorse week and NZ Open Farms Day, it is a transparent, open invitation to connect with the Thoroughbred racing and breeding industry.

Events for the week range from Thoroughbred Stud farms where you can get close and personal with a foal, visiting stallions, nanny mares and see where our broodmares go to retire. To racing stables, veterinary hospitals, trial mornings as well as rehoming and retraining properties. Not only can you get a great insight to our athletes but there are plenty of education opportunities which may be great for young minds who are considering careers within the industry. In this episode Vicky talks about the collaborators, how to register for an event, what you should expect and where to find out all the information.

The whole week is completely free. This is a pilot initaive so it needs as much support as it can get it. Even if you cant attend there are plenty ways to support by sharing the National Thoroughbred Week soical media to help spread the word.
